Baby Room Leader

Salary £27,000 per annum

Hours 40 hours all year round.

40 hours a week - you choose 4 days 36- hours or the usual 5 days 40 hours (we want to be flexiable and have patterns that works around you)

The Hackney Day Nursery & Preschool who are part of the Family First Group have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Room Leader in the baby room  . Within this role you will assist management in providing the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

We are open from 8.00am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times, 40 hours per week. Salary from £28,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

As Room Leader, you will:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
• Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality.
• Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
• Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

Requirements and skills:

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
• Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
