Flying Start After School Club @ Illogan School are looking for a new Leader!
If you like to run little projects, follow the children's lead, get creative and have fun this could be a part time job for you!
You start the club at 3pm collecting the children from their classrooms at Illogan School and then enjoy an afterschool snack with the children before following the children's lead, offering a session which responds to their needs after a busy day at school. Some days a more chilled approach perhaps running a board game championship or creating stories or exploring the craft box, whilst other days call for an energetic session in the adventure playground!
The Leader is encouraged to guide and support the children to run their club, choosing their own snack (recipes or unusual creations!), choosing a project or topic to explore and responding to their needs.
The successful candidate must be responsible, commited and punctual, working from 3-5.30pm Monday-Friday Term Time Only
They must have an appropriate qualification, this could be: A Level 3 in Early Years, A playwork qualification, A teaching (or teaching assistant) qualification for children aged 4+
It is preferrable the successful candidate also holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate and good knowledge of Safeguarding procedures - however training can be provided.
