Unqualified Early Years Practitioner

Based within our baby room, your role will include the following responsibilities:

• Supporting and working with upto 21 under two’s on a daily basis.
• Being part of a friendly and supportive team.
• Being a key person to a small group of children, carrying out observations and supporting their learning and development.
• Building strong relationships with families.
• Planning a wide range of activities to aid and support the development of the children.

About Us:

The Big Top Nursery is a small, family-run business with two Day Nurseries and one preschool facility, all located in Aylesbury. Our site in the village of Waddesdon boasts three play spaces and a large garden area, which features a nature corner, allotment space, outdoor cooking area, and more. As a setting, we take pride in offering a wide range of experiences for our Big Top children, which includes trips to Waddesdon Manor, visits to local school libraries, carpentry sessions, seasonal lamb visits, peacock hatching, and much more.

Applicants must be willing to work full-time, 40 hours per week, with alternating weekly shift patterns of 7:30 am-4:30 pm and 9:00 am-6:00 pm.

Our commitment to safeguarding both children and staff is paramount. Accordingly, all successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check.

Please be aware that if you do not drive, reaching our setting via public transport may be challenging due to the scheduling of bus services. Please ensure you can commute to our setting for the stated shifts prior to applying.
