Job Description

The Old Windsor Day Nursery & Pre-School who are part of the Family First Group have an exciting opportunity to join their team. Within this role you will provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with management, colleagues and parents.

We are open from 7.30am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times. Our nursery is located on St. Lukes Road in Old Windsor, with good bus links within easy walking distance. This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. Salary ranging from £26,500 - £28,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. 

As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

As Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
