17.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday, all year round

Salary from £7,826.00 - £10,410.40 per annum 

Are you looking to gain experience working with young children in a fun and nurturing environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as an Unqualified Nursery Lunch Cover.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in childcare or who enjoys working with children but does not yet hold a formal qualification.

Cherrywood Nursery is a contemporary, open-plan nursery nestled in the picturesque village of Pirbright. Our facilities are top-notch, featuring a dedicated sensory room and soft play area to foster creativity and exploration. Outdoors, we offer spacious gardens tailored to all age groups, including a vegetable patch, sensory garden, and a specially designed outdoor learning space for hands-on experiences.We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

 

Main responsibilities as Nursery Lunch Time Assistant include:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Lunch Time Assistant:

  • Full and Relevant Level 2 / Level 3 Childcare Qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
