Communication Support Worker - Children's House Day Nursery, Binfield, Bracknell

Required from as soon as possible

Hours: Initially 25 hours per week increasing to 30 hours per week from January 2024 - Term Time only

Salary BSL Level 3 (F.T.E) £34,362 pro rata 

 We are looking to appoint an experienced Communication Support Worker to support a profoundly deaf 2 yearold child at our nursery who has cochlear implants and is using total communication i.e. Sign Language and Spoken Language at home and in nursery.

The successful candidate will be joining a large committed and enthusiastic nursery team who are developing their experience working with children who are deaf. Your role will be to support the young deaf child to develop their communication skills and general development alongside the nursery staff and the Teacher of the Deaf and Speech and Language Therapist professionals who are directly involved. At least level 3 British Signing Language skills are essential for this role, but a competent level 2 might be considered for the right candidate.
