Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3

Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – My Ohana, Gloucester Nursery 

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at My Ohana, Gloucester Nursery.

My Ohana Gloucester is located in its own purpose building within the grounds of Gloucestershire College Campus, just across from Gloucester Quays.

The children have access to three large rooms and an extensive garden area, which means they get to enjoy extended outdoor-learning time every day.

We have access to outdoor space on the Campus grounds which is fantastic for delivering our outdoor learning programme. We also have access to a minibus, so we are able to take the children on trips out to explore the surrounding areas.

The nursery is a truly lovely environment for the children where we organise a range of activities that help to nurture their inquisitive minds, encourage their curiosity and celebrate their individuality

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

• Engaging children in entertaining and educational play through a variety of activities
• Supervising children at indoor and outdoor play and ensuring their safety and security
• Supporting and assisting the Room Manager in planning and delivering the EYFS
• Ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress

Requirements;

• Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for the role
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent are desired

Hours; 

• My Ohana, Gloucester Nursery are open from 08:00-17:30 all year round
• The successful candidate will be required to work between 25-40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
