Job Description

Prima Montessori & Day Nursery is Ofsted rated Good and is a large nursery with 7 rooms caring for children from 3 months – 5 years. We have a long-standing knowledgeable team, and the manager has been at Prima for 21 years. Our garden is split into two sections for under and over 2’s, we have a flower and vegetable growing area and implement outside education time. We have parking available to the side of the nursery but unfortunately there is no transport links to our nursery.

Within this role you will be working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday and it will be essential for you to have a Level 3 Childcare Qualification. Salary £25,168 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

As Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 2/3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
