1:1 SEN NURSERY PRACTITIONER

Location: Tops Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Dorset

Pay rate: Up to £13.33 per hour (plus Bank Holiday and Qualification enhancements available)

Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week/3 days per week

Shift Pattern: 09.00 - 14.45

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our 1-1 Nursery Practitioner help to create a safe, educational and fun environment for the children in our care. Helping to supervise children and ensuring their safety, organizing and taking part in activities, such as games, crafts, and educational tasks. The list is endless, but you’ll understand that some days might be challenging, but you’ll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our children at one of the most important development stages of their life!

Tops Corfe Mullen Nursery is a 86 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Blandford Road, Corfe Mullen. The nursery run several extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation and much more!  We’re rated 9.4 by daynurseries.co.uk and graded GOOD by OFSTED

ABOUT YOU

A minimum of Level 3 in Early years is required.

Some of the primary skills we are looking for will be someone will include;

  • Responsible for the 1:1 care of the individual child to support their individual educational plan (IEP) and to liaise with the Room manager on a daily basis
  • Responsible to work with the behaviour management, equal opportunities and SEN representative to ensure the child’s needs are met
  • Writing and updating the IEP and liaising with the relevant representatives and Nursery Manager
  • Keep colleagues informed and disclose relevant updates with regards to continual progress of children on a 1:1 support programme
  • Work closely with external professionals or agencies involved with the family support of the child you are providing 1:1 care for
