Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established nursery setting in Huyton as Deputy Manager. We are looking for someone to become an integral part of this well-established nursery setting from day one. If you're a dedicated childcare professional with a blend of room-based and office-based experience, especially in SENCO and safeguarding, we want to hear from you!

About the role

  • Assist in the effective management of the staff team and identify opportunities for improvements in staff knowledge and skills
  • Contribute to the review and development of action plans to enhance and drive the setting forward
  • Strive for continuous improvement in the children's environment and the standards of teaching and learning
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to all Health and Safety policies
  • Promote and maintain high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Oversee the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children
  • Ensure that children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences tailored to their age and developmental stage
  • Align practice and provisions with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Implement and reinforce safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of all children and provide guidance to staff on safeguarding practices
  • Facilitate open communication and collaboration between the nursery and families

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week

  • Minimum Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (essential)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS (essential)
  • Excellent knowledge of OFSTED requirements and expectations (essential)
