Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Manorside Academy

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Manorside Academy.

Attached to Manorside Academy the setting provides a nurturing, exciting learning environment for children aged 3 - 5 years. We are graded good by Ofsted.

Educational Approach

  • Key Person System: Every child is assigned a "Key Person" before they start to help them settle and tailor care to their individual needs.
  • Communication Focus: The setting prioritizes language development through daily singing, nursery rhymes, and specific interventions like WellComm and NELI to bridge vocabulary gaps.
  • Parental Partnership: The nursery uses Tapestry, an online platform, to share "Learning Journeys" and "wow moments" with parents.

Some of the activities we provide Cooking activities, PE and physical development, Nature walks and outdoor learning

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join us in delivering an efficient and effective service to the children and parents in our community.  The successful candidate will be hard-working, well-organised and committed to working as part of a team.
  • The successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to organise and prioritise and be passionate about expanding their knowledge of the Early Years/Primary Curriculum.
  • The ideal candidates need to be packed with enthusiasm, a good team player, think outside the box, and above all, absolutely love working with children.

Duties to include

  • Assisting at mealtimes
  • All aspects of personal care
  • Assist with the planning and implementing activities
  • Liaising with parents and keeping them updated with their child’s progress

Requirements;

  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

  • Manorside Academy is open from 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday - Term Time Only
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 31.5 hours per week
