Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Earlystarts Childcare, Southampton.
Earlystarts Childcare nursery setting care for children aged 3 months to 4 years.
They have 4 Rooms and Beautiful outdoor area with access to a shared field
We offer term time only sessions and all year round.
We provide a loving home from home environment for babies 3 months to school age.
We work within the development matters framework, helping the children gain confidence in their physical and emotional well-being.
We are a play led setting working with the children’s interests to engage learning opportunities whilst having lots of fun.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Job Purpose
We are looking for a kind, caring, and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our close-knit nursery team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and wants to develop their skills while gaining hands-on experience in a nurturing early years setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the care, learning, and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of all children at all times.
- Undertake all aspects of personal care, including toileting, changing, and supporting children with hygiene routines in a sensitive and respectful manner.
- Assist children during mealtimes, encouraging healthy eating habits and positive social interactions.
- Help to set up, deliver, and clear away daily activities that promote learning through play.
- Provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Liaise with parents and carers, sharing relevant information about their child’s day and development.
- Work as part of a supportive and close-knit team, contributing to a positive and professional working environment.
- Follow all nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times.

Requirements;
- A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them
Hours;
- Earlystarts Childcare is open from 7:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
- The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week over 4 days
