Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Wind In the Willows

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Wind In the Willows, Amesbury.

Wind in the willows journey started in 2010 when Kerry the owner was given the opportunity to have her own provision. We started out in the community hall which within time we outgrew resulting in the building you see today we are family run and have over 40 years’ experience within early years.

Within the setting we offer an environment that enables child-initiated play in order to capture the moments of engagement that matter.

Careful observation by the teachers as we are known is key to utilising the approach of in the moment planning the opportunities are endless and that is why we allow children show their interest in an activity, which we as a setting can build upon to meet the needs of the children.

We have 3 rooms and work with children from age 3 months up to preschool age

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Working as part of a team, supporting the children and taking care of all of their needs including all aspects of personal care.
• Planning the day’s activities, would eventually develop into the role as a key person
• Responsible for children’s next steps, safeguarding requirements liaise with team leaders, staff and senior team member for wellbeing of the children, liaise and feedback with them on daily basis.
• Undertaking regular supervisions, supporting the running of the room, flexibility to work in various rooms within the setting.
• Must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be a good communicator as will be liaising with parents

Requirements;

• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

Hours;

• Wind In the Willows is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30+ hours per week
