Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Rozey Days Montessori – Fishponds

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Rozey Days Montessori – Fishponds, Bristol.

The Rozey Days Montessori community, is made up of two settings based in Bristol and South Gloucestershire offering Montessori education for children aged 6 months to 4 years of age. 

Rozey Days Montessori in Bristol and South Glos are small private nurseries offering a child led and holistic approach to education in a Montessori based environment. Rozey Days has its roots in 2011 when Rozey Din, as a first time mother, was unable to find childcare which met her child’s needs.

Having visited a number of nursery environments she was dismayed with the uniformity, adult led approach and lack of creativity that was offered. Whilst looking for an alternative she researched the Montessori method at length and started to study for her Diploma.

Rozey worked from home as a Montessori childminder whilst completing her studies and was amazed at the real difference that Montessori offered the children in her care.  In 2017, armed with five years’ experience, her Diploma and a desire to see her local community receive the benefits of Montessori, Rozey Days Montessori became a reality.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Must have a sound understanding of the EYSF
• Looking after the health and welfare of the children, safeguarding, including child protection, keeping children safe, safeguarding.
• All aspects of personal care attended to.
• Montessori focus on teaching independence, hygiene routine, Montessori ethos and planning exciting tasks
• Communicating with parents, using online observation system online.
• Be a key person, assisting with lunch routines, attending staff meetings once a month, actively involved in creating the curriculum for the children.
• Someone who is a good team player
• Be enthusiastic, willing to join in the fun

Requirements;

• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them
• Experience in a similar role would be desirable

Hours;

• Rozey Days Montessori – Fishponds is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week

• After 12 months you get your birthday off
