Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Creekmoor Day Nursery

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Creekmoor Day Nursery.

At Creekmoor Day Nursery we provide a safe, educational yet fun setting which meets all of your child’s needs from ages birth to 5.

We have a growth centric approach that puts your child at the centre of everything we do. We will give your child the freedom to explore and express themselves.

We genuinely want our nursery to be the best whilst being memorable and fun for the children. We understand that it is vital to earn the trust and confidence of you, our parents and that you are happy with what we do and how we do it!

To support our inclusive community, we provide a personal approach, tailoring learning methods to each child's needs. Our main focus is to provide your child with the skills they need before heading off to school, whilst in a friendly and fun environment. 

We pride ourselves on treating each child differently and ensuring that any special requirements are met.

No two days are ever the same, but here's an idea of what your little one is up to.

We like to provide the children with plenty of opportunities to explore the local and wider community, making use of Creekmoor Pond, Upton Country Park, local Beaches and Farms.  The children will be escorted, wearing the provided uniform to and from the destination. They will each be fully supervised, safe and secure at all times. 

Our Curriculum at Creekmoor Day Nursery

Our curriculum is to ensure that every child leaves our setting school ready, happy, healthy sociable, and polite. By following the EYFS a guidance which we use to ensure that children learn in a positive and respectful manner using independence promoted by the 7 areas of learning:

· Personal, social and emotional

· Communication and language

· Physical development

· Understanding the world

· Maths

· Literacy

· Expressive arts and design

The key areas of learning are a main focal point to a child’s learning and development these are

· Personal social and emotional

· Communication and language

· Physical development

At all times not only will Creekmoor day nursery meet all expectations but exceed them.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Assisting the key person with the day-to-day routine
• caring for children under the age of 2 years of age 
• setting up and planning activities
• assist with days out and chaperoning
• all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing and toileting.
• Assisting at mealtimes.
• Liaising with the parents and updating the children’s records.
• Keeping the children safe and secure at all times. 
• Teaching through of a mixture of free play and curriculum led activities.

Requirements;

• A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential 
• You must be able to gain a clear DBS
• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or willing to work towards them

Hours;

• Creekmoor Day Nursery is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week
